The average web site receives just one visit from each potential customer. And an alarming percentage of those web sites don't do anything to start a relationship with their prospects.

E-mail is the most popular (and the most cost-effective) way to start that relationship. Starting communication with your visitors is not hard at all... here's a two-step process to do it easily.

1) Get their e-mail address: To do this you need to give them a good
reason... a "Subscribe to our newsletter" simply won't do it. Offer visitors a free download, access to some valuable information, a discount in future purchases, etc.

2) Create your follow-up campaign: There are plenty of great e-mail auto-responder systems out there (like Aweber or SmartAutoResponder). Hire one and take the time to create a polite and well planned campaign to follow up with them... if you rush it, you'll end up accused of spam.

If you follow this easy process and apply it to your web site, you'll have a much stronger foundation when offering your products and services... and your sales and profits will raise dramatically.
