Our company began designing web sites more than ten years ago in 1995, the same year that Bill Gates (Microsoft) said the Internet would crash under its own weight. Meaning that the technology needed to handle its
exponential growth simply would not be available. However, necessity being the mother of invention, the technology was developed and not only did the Internet survive, but Mr. Gates stated later:
“by 2002 there will only be two kinds of companies, those with web sites and those no longer in business.”
We are a division of D. Edson & Company, founded in 1986 as an educational publishing firm. WWWeb-Works Web Design Studios was formed in 1995 as the electronic design and publishing division. As you will determine from spending a little time on our site, we are able to handle any size project for any size company. Our specialty is not only designing but also marketing your web site and your company to the world successfully and we are very good at what we do. We are active members of the IWA (International Webmasters Association); the HTML Writers Guild; and the IPPA (Internet Professional Publishers Association).
As did many other design firms in early days of the Web, we simply designed sites with text, some graphics, navigation and e-mail and loaded the pages to the World Wide Web and hoped the client’s customers would find
the site. Afterall, there were only a few hundred thousand pages on the Web back then. But soon, we and the clients discovered that just because you build it, they will not come unless they can find it. While seach engine listings are necessary, with over 4.1 Billion pages now on the Web, your site is going to be extremely hard to find. We have developed many ways to market your site so that you do not have to depend solely on the search engines to bring traffic to your site. These unique marketing methods, not the search engines, are the foundation for your online success. These methods have been tested thoroughly and proven successful over and over again.
